Our Young Players Took Part in the PGŽ Water Polo Camp in Rijeka

The first activity of our club members in 2026 was participation in the U13 water polo camp organized by the Primorje-Gorski Kotar County Water Polo Association, held in Rijeka.
Among the 34 selected young players, as many as nine athletes from our club were invited: Leo Maver, Luka Mršo, Gabrijel Simonšek, Teo Maver, Jakov Brusić, Sebastian Zadro, Karlo Smirčić, Mario Hibšer and Loren Leutarević. Unfortunately, Luka Mršo and Mario Hibšer were unable to attend the camp due to illness.
The camp took place from January 5 to January 8 and focused on improving both technical and tactical aspects of the game. The program included pool training sessions as well as educational lectures covering key elements of modern water polo.
The camp was led by coach Marijan Pichler and his staff, and it represents an important step in the development of young water polo players and a strong recognition of our club’s youth program.
