Discover Croatia’s most decorated sport and experience water polo in the beautiful Čikat Bay.

Water Polo Club Lošinj was founded to bring water polo back to the island and to give young athletes a place to develop and compete. Today, the club brings together around 80 children across several age categories, including a dedicated swimming section for girls. Our senior team competes in the 3rd Croatian Water Polo League, while our youth categories participate in the Croatian “B” Championship and the County League.

We are also the organizers of the international youth tournament “Dobri Dupin”, held every year in Mali Lošinj. The event brings together young athletes from different countries, encouraging friendship, healthy competition, and environmental awareness through the Adriatic Dolphin project.

During the summer, the club operates two outdoor water polo fields in the stunning Čikat Bay. We welcome teams and individuals for training camps, friendly matches, and tournaments, and we invite parents to involve their children in a sport that has brought Croatia great international success.

Water Polo Club Lošinj was officially founded on April 5th, 2001, restoring the island’s water polo tradition after nearly 30 years without an active club. The initial goal was to revive the sport locally and establish a strong youth development program.

In 2005, the club launched the international youth tournament “Dobri Dupin”, which has since been held annually on the last weekend of June, welcoming teams from various countries and becoming a long-standing part of Lošinj’s sports culture.

Over the years, the club has competed in the 2nd Croatian Water Polo League (one season) and in the 3rd Croatian Water Polo League, North Division. As of April 2020, the club continues to develop new generations of players while maintaining its role in promoting water polo on the island.
